U18 - 21 (ages 16 - 21)

Practice Details

This group will ski from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm with a coach. The athlete to coach ratio is 8:1 giving the coaches opportunities to work with each athlete individually. After an early season meeting with the athlete and parents, the coaching staff will determine the best competitive schedule for each athlete to appropriately balance school and racing.

Equipment

CMCC and U.S. Ski & Snowboard require that all athletes wear FIS approved helmets with hard ears.  If you purchase a helmet, please make sure that it is FIS approved (look for the FIS official sticker on the helmet). Lift access is required and not included in the program cost.

Memberships

All athletes are required to be members of U.S. Ski & Snowboard (https://usskiandsnowboard.org/membership) and NHARA (https://www.nhalpine.org/page/show/3406888-nhara-membership-and-race-registration-information).

A season pass or daily lift tickets will be required. https://www.crotchedmtn.com/

Competitions

Various series of races form a pipeline from local to state to regional to national and to international events. The age groupings of seeded competitions allow for a designed progression of athlete development from state and regional teams to becoming nominated for the U.S. Ski Team. Advancement to these top levels of competition is based on ability.  Athletes involved in seeded competitions in the USSA Eastern region must hold a USSA competitor membership and be a member of one state racing organization. An International Ski Federation (FIS) License is required for any FIS racing and inclusion on the FIS points list. Contact the Eastern Region Office for more information.
